Discovery Park

Our Thanksgiving weekend has been lovely.  We spent a very nice day with family on Thursday and, for the first time in ten years, I did not have to work on Friday.  We took advantage of the extra day and ventured to Discovery Park for a long, leisurely walk.  Rhys did a fantastic job.  We were out there for close to two hours and he just kept going and going and going!

Early on in the hike we got distracted by some cool trees that demanded our attention.

Rhys' walking mojo really got going when we found little "goat trails" to follow.

Time for a snack break!  Rhys generously shared his muffin with Dada.

A view from the top...

I'm sure you can imagine how much fun Rhys had playing in this hollowed out tree trunk.

A pit stop to check out a tug boat on the water.

It was such a fun outing.  We completed the adventure with a trip to fisherman's terminal for some lunch and to buy some seafood for dinner.

We certainly don't have to look very hard to find things to be grateful for.
